Iris Clarke celebrated her 100th birthday on Tuesday February 2.
She was born in 1921 and has lived at the 31 on 3rd frail-care home in Fish Hoek for the past eight years.
According to her carer, Heather Storer, Ms Clarke celebrated her special day with staff and other residents and, because of lockdown, she will celebrate with her family at a later stage.
Staff at 31 on 3rd also arranged for a group to sing to Ms Clarke in the driveway of the home. “We are very proud of her and wish her good health and happiness in the years to come,” Ms Storer said.
