Kommetjie Primary school pupils delighted audiences on Friday October 27 and Saturday October 28 with their annual play, this year titled, A Knight’s Tale. The dialogue was witty and funny resulting in the audience bursting with laughter throughout the play. The play explored the life in the Kingdom of Camelot and the brave rescue of King Arthur’s three daughters, Princess Alberta, Princess Almira and Princess Alfreda after being kidnapped by the Dark Night. King Arthur’s youngest daughter, Princess Alice, Watt Cobblers, the cook’s son, Merlin and Dusty the dragon play a pivotal role in rescuing the princesses and safeguarding the pride of the Kingdom, Excalibur. The production was produced and directed by music teacher, Annemarie Punt and Grade R teacher, Karin Gentle.
