Jason Gladwin takes the spotlight with his acoustic flair tomorrow Friday August 19 at Cafe Roux in Noordhoek. The self-taught artist plays a wide variety of instruments from drums, guitars, to ukelele, piano and more. Tickets cost R100. On Saturday August 20, Francois van Coke lights up the stage. Last year, Francois launched his self-titled debut solo album, with the release of the most poignant ballad of the year Toe vind ek jou featuring Karen Zoid. Tickets cost R140. On Wednesday, August 24, it will be Estelle Kokot’s turn to turn up the lights. Estelle Kokot recorded for Warner Bros. South Africa, when she was 18 and her stage debut in 1987 with jazz super group Phambili at Kippies Jazz Club in Johannesburg caused a sensation. She will be performing at The Orbit Jazz Club in Johannesburg, before returning to London for the London Jazz Festival in November. Tickets cost R120. Shows start at 8.30pm.
