The False Bay Hospital Trust is appealing to the public for continued support.
Fund-raiser Jocelyn Freed said the hospital could never have coped during the pandemic without donations that had been used for personal protective equipment, high-flow oxygen, scrubs, extra linen a wheelchair ramp to the Covid-19 testing centre and other necessities.
The second wave of infections was proving far worse than the first, so continued public support was vital, she said.
“We are grateful for the ongoing support,” she said.
