Weird and wonderful things can be seen at the Fish Hoek Valley Museum, according to curator Sally Britton. She says pupils from a Grade 4 class found an old sewing machine fascinating as they had never seen one before and did not know it was used to make clothes. The museum also has a large collection of documents relating to the history of Fish Hoek. To help, or if you have interesting facts about your house, visit the museum at 59 Central Circle, next to the civic centre, or call 021 782 1752 or 076 662 3500. The museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 9.30am till 12.30pm.
