Greg Bing, AP Jones, Fish Hoek
During September and in the build-up to our 90th anniversary celebrations, I drafted a letter to you, with interesting stories about our store.
The following is one I received from someone in the UK, who has family in Fish Hoek. Sue Terry (nee White) wrote: “AP Jones was my first place of employment after leaving Fish Hoek High School. I loved my time at AP Jones 50 years ago and did not know then that I would continue to work in retail and eventually become a store manager for Woolworths in the UK. Thanks to your grandparents, Mr AP and Mrs Flo Jones, for their training and guidance. I really enjoyed working with them. Best wishes for the future to all who are now part of the AP Jones staff and family.”
How rewarding is that?
