It’s year-end, the year everyone wants to celebrate the end of, and Muizenberg is doing so in style.
The final Village Vibes plans to show Muizenberg “beyond the beachfront” and will be held on Saturday December 12 from noon to 9pm.
The event supports small, family-run businesses in the area, as well as local artists, musicians, food vendors and traders, all of whom are in dire need of a boost following months of income-deprived, hard lockdown.
The event is free and hosts a gift market where 30-plus people selling handmade gifts, clothing, décor and accessories will ply their trades.
SA actor David Muller will host an art auction fundraiser in aid of Beauty Without Cruelty SA. It will feature work by Lionel Davis, John Bauer, Riaan Chambers and Tatiana Kelm, among others.
Dave Ferguson, Dax Butler, Jamie Jupiter, and Lindsay Ann will perform live and there will be a full jazz band, adding cheer with Christmas carols.
For children, there is the Jungle Theatre show and Kids Entrepreneur section.
A range of locally made food will be on offer along with Noon Gun Brewery G&T or craft beer.
All events are held in Palmer Road. Covid-19 regulations apply. For more information, follow Village Vibes Muizenberg on Facebook.
