The public can view a creative exhibition of art by children from the Butterfly Art Project during Women’s Month at Casa Labia from Monday to Saturday between 9am and 4pm.
The exhibition is the result of a collaboration between the Butterfly Art Project and Fondazione Labia, the non-profit arm of Casa Labia.
A community art facilitator’s workshop was launched at Casa Labia last month which encourages healing and creativity through the arts for children in disadvantaged communities.
The community art facilitator’s workshop trains participants to teach healing art classes in disadvantaged areas across the Western Cape.
Rebecca Butler, Casa Labia cultural centre marketing manager, said Fondazione Labia supported the advancement of arts and culture in South Africa, particularly in disadvantaged communities.
The Butterfly Art Project will hold its 2019 annual exhibition in the Casa Labia gallery in October.
