If, as I read in the Echo (“Call for safer catwalk” Echo October 19) that arrested muggers are released because the complainants are visitors and not able to attend subsequent court proceedings (already returned home/moved on) could a magistrate not be on call for a night hearing that night?
If found guilty the muggers would be taken off the streets and not be free to continue their evil ways.
