On Saturday June 24, the suburb surrounding Surfer’s Corner could well have been called Mews-enberg. It was host to the African Independent Cat Association show at the Muizenberg
com(mew)nity hall, which was filled with cats of every description, from the wide-eyed fur-less ones to Persians in full princess fur and ribbons, through Siamese and Burmese to the regal Maine Coons. Cat lovers of every description came for some free fur therapy and the cats, and their owners, who drove from all areas across the Western Cape, revelled in the adoration.
