Two suspects were arrested in the Muizenberg area on Saturday February 16 after they snatched a cellphone from an accident scene.
Two motor vehicles were involved in a crash. While the two motorists were still in shock, the two suspects took the phone and ran away.
Officers arrived on the scene and gave chase. They caught the duo not far from the scene.
One suspect tried to stab an officer, but he was quickly overpowered.
Mandrax was also found on them. They were taken into police custody.
