The City opened its new Fish Hoek customer centre at the old Standard Bank building, at 77 Main Road, on Tuesday.
It will handle accounts enquiries, vehicle registration and licensing and municipal payments.
While all revenue services have moved to the new centre, sub-council staff will remain at the civic centre, according to ward councillor Izabel Sherry.
Those wanting to obtain a driver’s licence or collect a new licence must also do so at the old premises at the civic centre.
Mayoral committee member for finance Siseko Mbandezi officially opened the new centre. The public could book an appointment on the City’s website to avoid queues there, he said.
Motorists could view fines and warrants, including fines pre-dating July 1 2022, and pay online, he said.
