Ocean View police made 23 arrests over the past week.
Sergeant Wayne Fortuin thanked the community for sharing the information necessary so that these arrests could be made.
The arrests were for crimes including pointing of firearm, assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, housebreaking and theft, theft out of motor vehicle, attempted murder, possession of drugs, possession of suspected stolen property, domestic violence, intimidation, possession of abalone, robbery and murder.
“Still at large are the suspects responsible for the malicious damage to property and attempted murder; which occurred in the early morning hours of Monday, June 19, when a taxi was set alight and the driver of the taxi was shot in his eye,” said Sergeant Fortuin.
