A 53-year-old man was arrested in Muizenberg for allegedly having a dagga cultivation plant in his home on Friday March 20.
A huge amount of dagga plants in various stages of progression was found in the property.
Law enforcement spokesperson, Wayne Dyason, said: “Lighting and other electrical equipment as well as about 10kg of an unidentified white powder was confiscated.”
It is suspected these are the ingredients used in the manufacturing of mandrax.
The suspect was detained at Muizenberg police station.
