The City of Cape Town recognised two Ocean View detectives for outstanding work during an awards ceremony on Monday May 13.

Detective Warrant Officer Charl Muller and Detective Sergeant Moeketsi Raphala were instrumental in several arrests made recently.
Detective Warrant Officer Charl Muller was applauded for his swift investigations after Scarborough resident David Wolfromm was hijacked and murdered.
Two suspects were arrested days after the murder.
Detective Sergeant Raphala was commended for his investigation of the murder of Masiphumelele resident Nombulelo Matebese in March, which led to the arrest of two suspects.
All four suspects are still in custody and were denied bail. Their trials are currently ongoing.
