Local dog owners should take over the catwalk on a regular basis. That might make the thugs stay away (“Another catwalk attack,” False Bay Echo, August 8).
If the law can’t do it, we need to override the dog ban and reclaim our space.
I walk regularly on Fish Hoek Beach with my dog running free with at times up to at least 30 other dogs and have never seen a “dog incident” or a suspicious character.
How many muggings have there been on Fish Hoek Beach in the past year?
