Fish Hoek has dropped from the 20 million liters a day through Clovelly pump station in June 2017 to 9 million liters today.
Ward 69 councillor Felicity Purchase thanked residents for their contribution in bringing down their daily consumption.
Ms Purchase said it dropped to between 10 and 11 million liters a day at the beginning of 2018 and has dropped again.
They are currently using 7Ml from Clovelly and 2Ml from Brooklands Treatment Works in Red Hill.
Meanwhile, the city’s dam levels have increased to 70% this week thanks to recent rains.
The City of Cape Town will lower water restrictions to Level 5 next month.
