To say that I was disgusted by an incident I witnessed at Long Beach Mall parking on Saturday morning August 1 would be a huge understatement.
I heard a man shouting and swearing, using the most filthy gutter-type language.
It appeared that his tirade was directed at a mother and her two teenage daughters over a minor traffic infraction.
He continued to abuse them until they had reached the shops. I happened to be exiting the mall at the same time as the girls and apologised to them on behalf of decent human beings – I told them to try to forget the incident as that abuser was beneath society and one ought to have pity on his type.
He knows who he is, and I’m sure that he is proud of his brave behaviour towards three defenceless women.
