Girl Guides win first aid competition

The 1st Fish Hoek Girl Guides won the regional first aid competition on Saturday September 24 in Pinelands. The girls – a group of Rangers and Guides – were first treated to a tour of the Metro emergency services centre which services the whole Western Cape. They got to try out the jaws of life and even got to see a real helicopter landing and taking off to collect a metro medic. The winning Girl Guides team were, from left, Melissa Gordon, Jemma Gill, Roxy Golding, Emma Theron and Kerryn Bosch (patrol leader).
