The Muizenberg community is growing from strength to strength. The farmer’s market, held on Saturday November 12 in Palmer Road, offered home-grown produce, hand-made herbal products, such as tinctures and balms, samplings of food from Ethiopia, baskets, music and a swop shop session. The swop shop gives you a chance to clear your wardrobe and get funky new clothes in return: bring clean clothes with no holes in them for a swop session. The markets are open to all Muizenberg residents and are held to build a cohesive community as well as to offer an opportunity for some income. Reporter KAREN KOTZE captured the event.
