The Fish Hoek Lions Club has set up a children’s play corner in the waiting area at False Bay Hospital.
Books and toys were donated by the Friends of the Lions Club and the Fish Hoek community. Shelves were put up for the books and toys and colourful noticeboards were set up as
well.
A table and chairs will allow waiting children to colour in and read.
Fish Hoek Lions Club president Sue Kinnell said that while there were magazines and a TV for adults waiting to see the doctor, there had not been anything for children.
“We hope the play area will keep the children amused in a positive way,” she said.
Anyone wanting to donate suitable books and toys for this project
can contact Ms Kinnell at 072 2120 277.
*The Fish Hoek Lions will be revamping the memorial garden at the hospital entrance in the next few weeks. Anyone wishing to
donate indigenous plants or lend a hand can call Ms Kinnell or visit the Lions Club Fish Hoek Facebook page.
