Fish Hoek residents handed toys, clothing and shoes to residents of Masincedani informal settlement, in Strandfontein, on Thursday December 6.
Kira Coetzee, 12, her grandmother Pinky Coetzee and her mother Vanessa Coetzee helped Shona Allie, from Shona Allie Prison Ministries, to distribute goods to the informal settlement.
For three years they handed out toys and party packs to children in Rocklands, in Bronze Street where Ms Allie lives.
Ms Allie has been visiting prisoners here and overseas for close to 30 years, to deliver messages from friends and family.
She is hoping to publish her book titled Shona Allie – The call in prison ministry written by Heather Treadoux.
