Scarborough resident Sharon McComb came across a baboon family just past Simon’s Town on her way back from Harbour Bay Shopping Centre. She said she always takes the long route home in the hopes of seeing them. “It’s difficult to believe that they are not loved by all,” she said. “I watched them laze around in the sun, groom each other and witnessed the
interactions between moms and their babies
and the rest of the troop. The love they have for
each other is indescribable. The babies antics
were amusing and absolutely adorable.”
Can we not learn to live in harmony with all
living creatures and stop seeing ourselves as better than them,” she said.
