* The City of Cape Town’s women-only repair team won the Most Innovative Women’s Training Programme Award at the fourth annual Women in Construction Awards ceremony in Gallagher Estate in Midrand on Tuesday May 10. Over the past 12 months, four all-women road repair teams have been based at Ndabeni, Fish Hoek, Heideveld and Kuils River as part of the Expanded Public Works Programme.
