The fifth annual Muizenberg Festival culminated in the congenial Concert in the Park on Sunday October 14. The concert had an enthusiastic crowd who were treated to music from the legendary Sons of Selassie, Ernestine Deane, Mixed Mense with Emile YX? along with Zingara, The World of Birds and newcomer Lindsay Ann. The concert wrapped up with the funky Cape Town sound of The Steezies. The crowd and musicians alike found their groove and the early evening wind chill as barely noticed by those on their feet, with smiles on their faces. Alive Dance Studio also showed off their beautiful belly dancing. The melding of music and
movement was a fitting end to the two-week festival. KAREN KOTZE was there to capture the atmosphere.
