All Saints Anglican Church in Muizenberg has a new rector.
Father Stafford Moses was instituted by the Right Reverend Bishop Margaret Vertue, the Bishop of False Bay, at a celebration service, on Saturday, February 4.
The small stone church on Main Road in Muizenberg celebrated its 125th anniversary last year and hosts a growing and vibrant congregation. Father Moses joins All Saints from a parish in Gordon’s Bay.
“There are plenty of challenges in Muizenberg and the surrounding areas, and it is critical for the church to be an active part of the community to find solutions that work,” said Father Moses.
“I am happy to be in this beautiful part of the Cape and will work with everyone to find the right solutions”.
Father Moses has worked in Beaufort West in the George Diocese, the Strand, Faure and Khayelitsha during his 25-year career in the Anglican Church.
“We are so happy to welcome Father Stafford to Muizenberg,” said Ian Walters, church warden at All Saints. “Over the last few years, our rectors have only been able to stay for two to three years. We look forward to Father Stafford being with us for a few more years.”
All Saints Church has services every Sunday at 8.30am with a Sunday School on Wednesday at 9.30am.
