A recent article in the media, erecting a fence around Muizenberg Park which is situated behind the bowling club and adjacent to the Muizenberg police, refers.
It appears the rationale is to keep undesirables out of the park and, according to the article, has the support of the City of Cape Town and the local community.
This I consider to be a waste of money. Just look around at all fenced property, within hours it shall be vandalised, no fence is “bergie proof” in this country.
It would make much more sense to spend the money on providing 24/7 security patrol in the park.
Approach the local private security companies for a cost- ing.
