Marian Williams, Noordhoek
On Friday January 12 at 4.50pm I arrived at the traffic lights at the top of 17th Avenue, Fish Hoek, and immediately noticed water seeping from the ground.
When I arrived home, I rang the South Peninsula water services’ 24-hour number 086 010 3089 four times despite having to listen to council news. I got no response so went online and decided to go to the Cape Town council website which showed the same number as the emergency number.
I eventually rang Felicity Purchase on her cellphone and left a message, I had a call back within 10 minutes and gave details and was promised that action would be taken.
I admit I was lost as to who to ring at the time.
* Ward councillor, Felicity Purchase said an SMS can be sent to 31373 or a WhatsApp can be sent to 063 407 3699.
