Ocean View SAPS made 32 arrests between Monday May 22 and Monday May 29, for crimes ranging from common assault to assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm, domestic violence, possession of drugs, excuting warrants of arrest, theft and malicious damage to property.
The station also deployed extra manpower over the weekend, including the station commander, leading to a number of drug-related arrests.
“This office would like to thank various members in the community for their input and for handing over information to the police about when and where drug activities are occurring. Your continued input is required and valued,” said Sergeant Wayne Fortuin.
“Slowly but surely we are going to win the fight against gangsterism and drugs,” he said.
