Among the runners were rugby players Bryan Habana, Damian Willemse, Notshe Sikhumbuzo and Salmaan Moerat and cricketer Laura Wolvaardt. The event was held in partnership with the I Am Water foundation and The Beach Co-Op. Run For The Oceans is a global movement that takes place from June 8 to 16. For every kilometre tracked in the Run For The Oceans Challenge on the Runtastic app, adidas will donate $1 to Parley Ocean School capped at $1.5 million.
