‘Old salts’ lend a helping hand

Retired navy officers trained twelve sea-cadet officers who volunteered for a week-long officers’ course at TS Woltemade last week. South African Sea Cadets spokesman Lieutenant Commander Glen von Zeil says the volunteers receive no salaries, and the training ship relies on their passion, commitment and enthusiasm.
