For three years, women at the Avenues Retirement Hotel have presented the Rotary Club Cape of Good Hope with knitted garments to give out at the One to One event, which is hosted annually for approximately 2 000 intellectually disabled people from various institutions, ranging in age from 6 to 60 who are treated to a day of entertainment.
It is hosted by many service organisations, schools, and even The Harley Davidson Club. “The ladies of the Avenues Retirement Hotel are to be congratulated for their efforts in providing the much appreciated gifts for these disadvantaged people,” said Marge Upfold, president of the Cape of Good Hope Rotary Club.
