Marina da Gama resident Robin Leyde photographed three otters just before sunrise on Saturday May 7. “We only spotted them because our dog, being inquisitive and naive as he is, was trying to play with them. They were just as interested in him, and at one point were less than a metre away, each trying to figure the other out while staying safely just out of reach. They weren’t shy at all and would dive down, catch a fish and return to within meters of us to check us out, while munching on their catch. An incredible experience,” she said.
