During the week of Saturday April 23 to Friday April 29, Muizenberg police made 23 arrests for crimes varying from shoplifting to robbery.
These arrests include one case of domestic violence, three cases of housebreaking and theft, six cases of possession of narcotics, four cases of possession of stolen cars, one outstanding warrant, one robbery, one incident of assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm and one arrest for drunken driving, one arrest for malicious damage to property and four people were arrested for shoplifting.
* Police are looking for information relating to two bodies found last year.
Last year, on September 17, at approximately 5.40pm, a member of the public discovered a male foetus at the Coastal Park dumping site on Baden Powell Drive, Muizenberg.
An inquest docket was registered at Muizenberg SAPS and is currently under investigation.
The investigating officer Detective Sergeant Milicent Teichardt is appealing to members of the public who might have knowledge of this birth to come forward with information.
In the second case, Muizenberg SAPS are looking for the family members of Christa Abrahams who died last year, on July 9, in Village Heights.
The deceased, who died of natural causes, is currently at the state mortuary and any family member is please asked to contact the investigating officer Detective Sergeant Milicent Teichardt in order to arrange for a DNA identification.
