Police arrest 38 people

In the past week, Muizenberg SAPS have arrested 38 people for offences varying from shoplifting to murder.

Captain Stephen Knapp said: “These arrests, made between Monday February 27 and Friday March 3, have been made in our ongoing endeavours to eradicate the scourges of crime in our communities.”

The arrests were for offences including robbery, theft, shoplifting, possession of narcotics, assault with intent to cause grievious bodily harm, domestic violence, selling liquor without a license, malicious injury to property, car-jacking, trespassing, possession of a dangerous weapon, drunk driving, intimidation and one person was arrested for murder.
