Eleanor Richardson, Glencairn Heights
I would just like to take this opportunity to thank Courtney Spence and his colleagues for a wonderful and informative talk on Friday October 21 at the Fish Hoek museum.
Our group of women from the Red Hat Society, many of whom are resident
in and about Fish Hoek, but who also come from Noordhoek, Hout Bay, Simon’s Town, Kalk Bay and as far afield as Stellenbosch, had never visited the museum and found it fascinating to hear not only about the archaeological importance of Peers Cave, but also to be introduced to the colourful and interesting characters who have influenced the area.
I certainly hope that something can be done to save this little treasure and to help keep our history
alive.
