Sunday was a fun day at Zandvlei Sea Scout Base in Lakeside.
The sea scouts treated visitors to sailing on the vlei, tombola stalls and a range of food, games and activities.
Scouts had the best of fun as good natured scout leaders put their faces on the line in the Scouter Sponge Toss; and there were two talks about birds and snakes by Martin Odd, known as the Birdman of Cape Town, who brought with him a vulture, a rock kestrel, a tame hadeda and a handful of harmless snakes to show off to the crowd.
