The Kommetjie Residents’ and Ratepayers’ Association (KRRA) and Kommetjie Environmental Awareness Group (KEAG) would like to express publicly our sincere thanks to the editorial and production team of the local book, The Story of Kommetjie: A coastal village, for the generous donation received by our organisations.
We are not only impressed by this extensively researched, wide-ranging and richly illustrated publication but also with the community spirited way in which the co-ordinators of this project have gone about distributing the proceeds from sales to charitable organisations and initiatives around the valley.
In particular, we thank Marilyn and Duke Metcalf, Roger Bain and Duncan Duffet as well as those that contributed text, photographs, editing and layout skills.
We assure them that funds received will be used to further the environmental, civic governance, community building and heritage work that we are involved with.
