The Emma Animal Rescue Society (TEARS) will have its annual sleepathon on the Saturdays of November 16, 23 and 30 at the Tears shelter at 4 Lekkerwater Road, Sunnydale, from 5pm till 7am the following day. The event allows the public to spend a night bunking with rescued dogs and cats. Tickets cost R200 and are available online at Quicket. The proceeds will help Tears save more lives by providing veterinary care and free sterilisation for pets in low-income communities and rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing abandoned, abused and neglected dogs and cats.
