A small young snake crept into a Fish Hoek home this weekend. Resident Charles Dagnall said what he thought could have been a young Cape Cobra took up residence in his hallway. “I carefully removed it to the lawn where it took up an aggressive posture when I pointed my camera in his face,” he said. “I think it was a young Cape Cobra but it’s difficult to identify when so small. It slipped away up onto the mountain… but I did wonder whether it might be joining up with its much larger father and mother: I shall be treading carefully for a while,” he said.
