Muizenberg Junior School pupils were out on the street on Thursday April 18 to show their support for their principal, Vernon Erfort, who ran the Two Oceans half marathon on Saturday, and Dave Chamberlain, who ran the ultra marathon 50 times in 50 days to raise funds for BirdLife SA. Late on Thursday night, organisers announced that due to threats of protest action, the ultra marathon route would be diverted away from Chapman’s Peak, and on Friday morning, Dave was back on the road, running the new route.
