On Sunday July 8, a friend of mine, who lives in Kommetjie, lost consciousness on Fish Hoek Beach while on a family outing.
I would like to say a very very special thank you to Dr Charles Chouler, from Medicross in Tokai, who selflessly came to his aid and administered blood-pressure and blood-sugar tests.
He stayed and helped out until Cape Medical Response arrived and he gave them a full report before handing my friend over into their care.
This is what a doctor should be.
Dr Chouler, you are a great man, thank you for your assistance on what must have been a much needed afternoon off with your family
