Sue Capon, Fish Hoek
I was knocked down by a car on the corner of Beach and Recreation roads on December 28, at 4.45pm.
A kind woman sat on
the road behind me, cradled me and calmed me until the CMR paramedics arrived.
Two other women got my husband’s phone number from my phone and called for him to come. Traffic policemen came to take statements from the elderly woman driver of the car, myself and other witnesses. Several other people came to help me and I was very grateful for their concern.
The impact flung me onto my back. My legs were very painful, and I was very concerned that my spine might have been injured, as I had had a spinal fusion operation about 10 months ago which was very successful.
I would like to thank CMR for their prompt arrival, their immediate attention and transport to False Bay Hospital for X-rays and medical treatment.
A visit to the dentist assured me my teeth were not going to fall out, they had just been loosened from the impact.
I thank everyone
who came to my aid for their kindness and concern. I
am so sorry that I
didn’t take your names for me to thank you personally, but I
thank God that each one of you came forward so promptly and willingly. Bless you all.
