Police are investigating the death of a 52-year-old Fish Hoek man who died from a gunshot wound to the head after his house was set alight in 10th Avenue on Monday April 16.
Police spokesman, Warrant Officer Peter Middelton, said Fish Hoek police and the fire department were called to the scene around 1.30pm and found the house ablaze.
The body of the man was found inside the house with a gunshot wound to the head.
Police are investigating a possible suicide and suspect that
the fire was started by the deceased.
The firearm and body were recovered from the premises before the property sustained substantial damage.
