Police arrested two murder suspects and a third handed himself in after vigilante violence in Masiphumelele last week.
According to police spokesman Sergeant Leon Fortuin,at 9.15am on Wednesday February 13, residents grabbed three men accused of theft and beat them.
One of the men later died of his injuries in hospital.
The suspects are aged 20, 26 and 44. All the suspects were charged with murder and attempted murder and appeared in the Simon’s Town Magistrate’s Court on Monday morning.
“The investigation is ongoing to determine how many people were involved in assaulting the three suspects which eventually led to a murder,” Sergeant Fortuin said.
