Understand the value of good food and service

Phyllis McCartain, Arundel, West Sussex, UK

We come to Fish Hoek every year and quite often dine at the Galley; one must understand that fresh food takes time to prepare (I have been in the business for 40 years, therefore, I should know).

The staff are always very pleasant at the Galley, and when my order arrives, it is always very nicely presented and worth waiting

When we were in business, I used to have a notice on my menu stating everything is freshly prepared to order, therefore, one must be prepared to wait, and we never had complaints because my customers understood the value of good food and good service.
