Ocean View, Kommetjie and Scarborough are without water after a burst on the 400mm bulk pipe feeding the areas.
The City of Cape Town says repair teams are on site attending to the fault. It is estimated that water will be restored at around 2pm.
Residents should keep taps closed to prevent possible damage to property and water wastage when supply is restored.
