The Water and Sanitation Department will finalise linkages between the existing pipeline to the newly installed water reticulation infrastructure in Noordhoek and Kommetjie Main Roads, starting on Thursday February 6 between 8am and 6pm.
As a result of these works, residents living on the higher-lying elevations above Noordhoek Main Road and Beach Road may experience low pressure, as well as an intermittent supply.
A water tanker will be stationed in the Noordhoek Farm Village should there be no water during this period.
On Tuesday February 11, between 8am and 6pm, the department will also be decommissioning the existing 400mm diameter water main in Kommetjie Main Road.Â
This work will take place in the vicinity of Living Hope and just beyond the entrance to Capri.
The department has completed various shutdown tests upfront and all indications are that no one should be without water during this period. Â
