A man was fatally stabbed in Main Road in Muizenberg on Saturday February 25.
When Muizenberg SAPS arrived around 3.30pm, paramedics were attempting to resuscitate the man, but were unsuccessful and he was declared dead on the scene.
The deceased, whose identity is unknown, is approximately 35 years of age and was wearing blue denim jeans, a black jacket and blue takkies.
He also had a thick beard and was believed to have had no fixed address.
On Monday February 27, around 10am, a 24-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the incident. She was scheduled to appear in the Muizenberg Magistrate’s Court yesterday, Wednesday March 1.
The circumstances surrounding the death of the man is being investigated and anybody with any information regarding the incident – or the identity of the deceased – is asked to contact the investigating officer Detective Sergeant Thembeka Sigcawu on 021 787 9000/31.
