A 28-year-old woman died after being shot in the chest and a 19-year-old man was wounded in the shoulder during a shooting in Ocean View on Saturday August 24.
Ocean View police spokesman Sergeant Leon Fortuin said the man was taken to hospital and was in a stable condition.
It’s unclear what led to the shooting, but police are investigating a murder and attempted murder. No arrests have been made.

The 25-year-old man arrested for allegedly assaulting a 55-year old woman with a rock on the St James and Muizenberg catwalk, earlier this month has been referred to Valkenberg Hospital for a 30-day observation period, according to police spokesman Captain Stephan Knapp.
The man made his first court appearance in the Muizenberg Magistrate’s Court on Monday August 19 and faces a charge of attempted murder.
It is alleged that the man attacked a woman jogging on the catwalk with a large rock before he was arrested by members of the public and a security guard (“Another catwalk attack,” Echo, August 8).
Captain Knapp said the man was being held at Pollsmoor prison awaiting an opening at the hospital.
